Printable Pinning Pages
When I got my first kindergarten class a lovely, very experienced teacher next door gave me a ‘sewing page’. Students were to weave cotton thread through dots that made an outline of a seashell. I didn’t have needles or cotton in my storeroom - but I had giant push pins. Pinning was born.
I hand drew dozens of cute picture pages for my new students new favorite activity. With a few rules and boundaries explained, they did it very safely. I later came to understand that other teachers had done this also, often calling it Pokey Pin. Here are some of my Pinning Page packs:
