Game Name: Bear’s Bowls Dot Pattern Memory Match

Objective:

Help kindergarteners recall three separate numbers shown individually on separate dot pattern cards. Some students may find the total.

Materials Needed:

How to Play:

  • Show the children how each card has a different number of dots (1, 2, or 3).

  • Explain that they will need to remember three different dot patterns shown to them one by one and draw them.

  • Select three cards randomly and show them to the children, each for a brief time.

  • Ask the children to recall and write down or draw the numbers of dots they saw in the order they were shown in bear’s bowls on the worksheet.

  • After all the children have recorded their numbers, reveal the cards one by one in the order they were shown and check if the children have remembered them correctly.

  • Discuss the numbers and patterns with the children, reinforcing their memory.

  • Repeat the game a few times with different sets of dot patterns.

  • To increase difficulty, you can show the cards for a shorter time.

This game is designed to enhance memory and recall skills in a fun, interactive way, while keeping the challenge suitable for kindergarteners. Enjoy playing!
